EMEA News: A Car Without a Steering Wheel

The importance of a spares company is often overlooked or forgotten due to the, so called, more glamorous side of the business, because, generally speaking, people would rather discuss a new machine than an obscure part that will actually make a non-earning machine work.

Peter Murphy, General Manager of Sega Total Solutions (STS) remarked, "how much value, in real terms, is a redemption machine without tickets. Or a driving game without the steering wheel. Or a site without change machines, or ticket eaters!"

Having spent over 30 years in the industry, Peter feels that the importance of a spares company is a little like having to speak to the doctor. They may be in the background, but can you actually do without them?

“At STS we strive to provide a level of service to our customers that no one else in this industry can provide. We hold a vast number of products in stock, and have seen certain areas of our business increased tenfold over the past 2-3 years! Particularly in the case of redemption tickets" says Peter. He continued "We expect this year to sell over one billion tickets, with new customers coming on-board monthly, due to the excellent quality of our ticket, stock holding and the fabulous price that we can offer."

Another area of outstanding growth is the supply of ICE products, (Innovative Concepts in Entertainment). Since STS took on the exclusive distributorship for ICE range in 2011, Sega as a company has achieved major sales growth, not only in machines, but also in spares and components.

Together with traditional large stock of Sega spares and components, of which STS endeavour to supply parts for up to 10 years! They also have a large range of 3rd party, top manufacturer’s products including Triotech, Komuse and Intermatic. More recently STS is also proud to include our CM Change Machines and the Galileo ticket eater to their product offering.

“We foresee continued growth, due to the quality of the products and services we provided.
